Head covering

I am led to wearing head covering before the child is born. God gives strong messages through this article by Brian Schwertley. I ask God that in my decision He strengthens me to submit willingly and joyfully to my husband even more.

The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man. He [the man] is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause, ought the woman to have power on her head, because of the angels (from 1 Cor 11).

Isa 66:7-13

Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem (Isa 66:7-13).

Week 34

Week 34: 12 Jan - 18 Jan

1. Kanskje føles kroppen din periodevis tung nå.

How beautiful

How Beautiful, Twila Paris

How Beautiful the hands that served
The Wine and the Bread and the sons of the earth
How beautiful the feet that walked
The long dusty road and the hill to the cross
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How Beautiful the heart that bled
That took all my sins and bore it instead
How beautiful the tender eyes
That choose to forgive and never despise
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

And as He lay down His life
We offer this sacrifice
That we will live just as He died
Willing to pay the price
Willing to pay the price

How Beautiful the radiant bride
Who waits for her Groom with His light in her eyes
How Beautiful when humble hearts give
The fruit of pure life so that others may live
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How Beautiful the feet that bring
The sound of good news and the love of the King
How Beautiful the hands that serve
The wine and the bread and the sons of the Earth
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ.

Week 34:

Body feels very heavy now.

Stomach can feel suddenly very hard and tight. These contractions last for few minutes or happen after working out for a while or walking for a distance. These are false contractions, technically called Braxton Hicks contractions.

Have also discovered there is some fluid out of the breasts. Is it not great that the body shows that it is on track? It is getting ready for the new tasks that await it. God is so wise in His creation - the body is wisely made that it can produce custom-made milk!

The birth is not very far away... Perhaps it is time to make sure everything needed to be in place before birth - are in the house. We are entering a time when I am becoming much larger, less mobile, and do not function as flexibly as before.
Week 33

1. Able to recognise the rhythmic little beats. It is perhaps the baby hiccuping! :)

2. Sleeping pattern is changed. No sleeping position is particularly 'good' for some time. Note: It is a great opportunity to get used to the different pattern, where the long hours are continuously replaced by shorter periods. A good preparation for the time after the baby is born.

3. Agree in advance and stick to what parents agree on, with regards to everyday responsibilities after the baby is born. Apart from breastfeeding the baby, there is nothing the mother can do that the father cannot. This means father and mother can enjoy common tasks: diaper changing, cleaning, shopping, and night watches.

Week 33

Uka 33: 5 Jan - 11 Jan

Kjenner du rytmiske bevegelser? Det er kanskje fosteret som hikker!

For noen er dette tiden da nattesøvnen endres. Ingen stilling er særlig "god" over lengre tid.

Holding hands

As we are holding hands, God is holding our hands together.

Holding Hands, Steve Green

One day, far away, you gently won my heart
And one night, by candlelight, we made a vow to never part
And then it seemed just like a dream
When wide eyed, side by side
We faced the future holding hands

Years fly, they hurry by, the simple times are gone
Bills due, a kid or two, a week can feel eight days long
By fading light, let's kiss goodnight
And then we trace God's daily grace
Thankful we're still holding hands

There's a hope that won't let go
There's a truth we know
God is holding us
In His arms

Thoughts stray far away to all that lies ahead
In frail days when strength fades
Will we still mean all that we said?
Our love's secure, so rest assured
Come what may 'til that day
We'll walk forever holding hands

By God's grace 'til that day
We'll walk forever holding hands
